The pocket door kit you purchase should be the same size as the door panel you plan to use with the kit.

The SLIDOR pocket door kit is for 2×4 walls (3-½” stud walls) using ⅝” or ½” drywall. This pocket door kit can be used with metal or wood stud walls and drywall screws are provided with the pocket door kit. More layers of drywall can be added to increase the wall thickness. Please make sure that any drywall screwed used to attach extra layers do not protrude into the pocket.
Yes, the SLIDOR pocket door kit does require jambs. The SLIDOR jamb kit was specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the SLIDOR pocket door kit and is sold separately. We sell the jamb kit separately giving you the option to make your own if you don’t want to purchase the SLIDOR jamb kit. To finish off the opening, you can use any casing/moulding you like!
